Inside each bud is a balanced armature device, normally only found in professional ear pieces, as well as a 9mm custom dynamic driver. There hasn't been a duo like this since Simon & Garfunkel. The combination of the two is a ground breaking approach to in-ear headphone design, drawing on the strengths of both driver types to produce amazing separation across the dynamic range and delivering beautiful detail in the high end and lush well-defined response in the lower and mid frequencies. The AF78's dual drivers have a low impedance of 16 Ohms. This is ideal for low powered devices like iPods® and iPhones® giving enough headroom so they have no trouble producing plenty of volume.

At a rating of 118dB, our drivers have a higher than average sensitivity. This means they are efficient with the power they use and don't need to be driven as hard to sound their best, making them ideal for modern portable music players.
